GOLDEN PROPORTION OF THE FACE
A natural law of beauty. The face is divided into 3
sections and in those people whom we consider most beautiful, those 3 sections are roughly the same size. From the hairline to a spot between the eyes constitutes 1/3 of the face; from between the eyes to the bottom of the nose is another third; and from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin is the final third.
As we age the bottom third of our face can sometimes begin to shrink. This "shrinkage" is most commonly caused by something going on with our teeth. The teeth may become worn down due to clenching or grinding over the years. Or, you may have lost teeth. When teeth are extracted or lost the bone that once held them in begins to shrink causing the bottom of the chin to get closer to the bottom of the nose.
